Texas Tech University (Education)
Hi, my name is Hannah and I'm an education major at Texas Tech. I've had many years of experience working with people of every age to improve their grades and skills, starting from when I was 14 years old. I have been a camp counselor, where I taught cooking classes, pet care, reading, and science, among others. I was also a dance instructor for 2 summers. I worked with young children for a year on their homework after school at the YMCA. Over the previous years, I have been a nanny and I would help the kids I nannied for with their homework in all subjects.
I am currently studying to become a teacher, and I am excited to help my students grow and develop their skills in all subjects. My tutoring approach will include a detailed look into the subject, which I will help break down into individual sections to ensure clarity. I will also help with organization skills, which is the key to a successful school year. I will also share study tips, which will be helpful in all subjects. But most importantly, we will focus on the subject and practice, practice, practice!
I have a strong passion for what I am teaching, and I am excited to share that passion with my students! Please contact me for any questions, I'll get back to you as soon as I can and am eager to answer anything. I have a pretty flexible schedule and am willing to go that extra mile to help you get the grade/score/results you desire! Hi, my name is Hannah and I'm an education major at Texas Tech. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I started dancing 6 years ago. I learned ballet in my first year of dance, and continued learning ballet until last year, where I was the captain of my drill team. I have taken college classes and studio classes for ballet and have developed the craft well. I have even taught ballet, along with other forms of dance, for 2 summers at a day camp class.
I have always loved cooking, and started cooking my own dinners and family dinners when I was around 14 years old. I taught two different cooking classes at a summer camp last year, from ages 6 to 16. I will teach how to follow recipes, basic cooking safety, how to go off recipes, and how to make basics such as rice, eggs, pasta, etc.
I have recently learned how to perfect my study skills. I went from a bad student to a 3.75 gpa student, and I will share my secrets, tips, and tricks with students. Some examples include being organized: having a planner, implementing an system of organizing supplies, etc.
I have taken yoga classes for 2 years. I have also taught dance classes, including daily yoga practices, for 2 summers at a day camp. My focus will be on breathing, poses, and clearing their minds.
