About Victoria

I am a retired college English professor with 29 years of experience. I have also worked as an examiner for the International Baccalaureate.
I have also written books in college success and taking online classes.
My students tended to be successful because I did not give them answers. Rather, I worked with them to develop their own ideas. I am also demanding. I expect students to do the best work they can--and then improve on that.
For tutoring, I expect students to be prepared for their sessions. In return, they will have my complete attention and top-level coaching.
I am happy to tutor online. For over a decade, I taught online classes, so I am quite comfortable in an online environment.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
