Currently enrolled at University of North Texas (Biomedical Engineer)
For the past two years I have tutored high school and college students in math and science classes. I have helped some kids receive an A in the class that they were barely passing at the beginning of the semester. I love the opportunity to help students understand the topics that they are learning in class while also teaching the students how to solve the problems that they are given.
I am willing to help students anyway I can so that they are able to get through their classes with more ease. I will review information, make up practice problems, help with homework problems, and anything else in my ability to help students learn the material they are given.
I have a minor in Mathematics at the University of North Texas, so I have taken many math classes and made A's in all of them. I love math and always look forward to helping students understand the problems they are given. In high school, I received the Most Distinguished Mathematics Student during my senior year. I have helped tutor many kids in math in the past two years and would love to help anyone else that I could.
I am majoring in Biomedical Engineering at UNT and have taken Physics 1 and 2 calculus based while also taking AP Physics 1 and 2 algebra based in high school. I have also taken Chemistry at UNT and have made A's in all my physics and chemistry courses. I was a part of the Science Honor Society in high school and love to help kids understand these classes.
I am always looking to help students improve their grades and understand the material that they are learning in class. I will work hard to make sure every student I tutor grasp the information that we go over. If a student tutors with me they will learn and be able to solve problems. This was my Grandson's first lesson with Taylor. He said it went well and he does have a little better understanding. Coming from him this is a laudatory review!
Taylor worked with my son for two hours to kick off their first session. He said, "she's even better than my teacher." She was able to present the material in ways that he clearly understood. We are looking forward to more sessions with Taylor.
I enjoyed my time with Taylor, she was very patient and nice. She showed me a different way of looking at what I needed to find She helped me out with my review for a test and I'm pretty positive I'll do great on it.
Taking AP Physics can be stressful and after her session with Taylor my daughter walked away smiling. She feels she has a better understanding of the material they addressed. We will be setting up a regular schedule to ma,e sure she breezes through this next semester.
Prepared my son for a physics test and explained some math concepts he was having trouble with. She was patient and kind!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
