I've always had a love for giving my knowledge to others. I enjoy helping others learn about something that I am qualified in. I hope to use this to create an effective learning environment for all students. In my tutoring sessions, I encourage the student to take an independent approach to learning the material, while providing guidance when necessary. In my opinion, this is the most effective technique to master the material and to garner a further interest in the subject.
As I am currently a Biomedical Engineering student, I know how to use resources and hard work to get to success. I am qualified in a variety of subjects as my major is fairly versatile. I have a background in teaching math, reading, science, and coding. I have been part of organizations that teach these subjects to multiple age groups.
I am currently working with an organization that helps children from as young as 4 years old develop a love for coding. Teaching kids of such a young age requires quite a lot of patience and creativity, and I hope to involve these skills in my tutoring sessions. Through this organization as well as previous experience, I have found that every student has a unique way in which they learn. So when I teach new students, I try to analyze their personalities, to create a personalized learning experience to maximize their success.

Sukhmani was able to quickly assess where my daughter was and taylor her lesson to meet her needs and get her ramped up for the coming school year.
Sukhmani, is a very talented and respectful young lady. She is focused and ready to start the lesson as soon as you meet her. She comes prepare and with a great attitude.
My daughter, like many kids these days, is really busy with sports and school. There are only so many hours in a day. The time she spends with Sukhmani makes her study time more productive and efficient. In one hour, she not only learns how, but why. My daughter leaves feeling confident, armed with a simple strategy, and indepth knowledge of the subject.
Sukhmani is an excellent tutor. Goes above and beyond what was expected. If you are interested she is a FANTASTIC tutor!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
