Stacy is an artist living and working in the Austin area. She has had several years experience as a teacher, working with students of all ages, but primarily focused on high school and college education.
Stacy has studied art nearly her entire life, starting at age 11 when her mother signed her up for classes at an art studio.
She attended Southwestern University in Texas where she majored in studio art. Stacy continued her education at East Texas State University (now known as A&M Commerce), again majoring in studio art and receiving her MFA. Although her formal education is finished, Stacy has continued to seek knowledge where ever she can find it, returning to school two more times to acquire what was needed. The first time to earn her teacher certification and the second to learn the Adobe graphic design programs.
Stacy enjoys teaching and sharing her wealth of knowledge with others. Working with a student and seeing the moment when everything becomes clear to them is extremely gratifying to her. She calls it the "ah ha!" moment, and that, to her, is the most rewarding part of teaching.
She has had over 30 years experience as an artist. She has spent her life exploring various art mediums, learning new techniques. She has had experience teaching drawing, painting, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
