I am retired from being chaplain at a county jail. I am very acquainted with helping those who have not quite been able to keep up with the norm. I have a background of helping others. I graduated from both the University of Texas at Arlington and the Austin Graduate School of Theology with a 4.0 GPA. Although my profile shows my undergraduate degree to be in Criminal Justice, I have a double minor in English and Sociology. My training as a minister has provided me with excellent people skills.
I have home-schooled my own son who has Down's Syndrome, and he is a well-adjusted young man of 30 who reads about 5th grade level and has very good social skills. Helping another person understand what has previously been obscure to him/her is a delight for me.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Master of Theological Arts from Austin Graduate School of Theology. I have pastored a church and have been Chaplain at Burnet County Jail for almost two years. I scored the second highest grade that had ever been made on my Bible Competency test required for graduation. I graduated first in my class with a 4.0 GPA.
I have pastored a church and have been a prison chaplain, conducting six church services per week. I have also been asked numerous times to speak a various meetings. One could hardly have done my job without being a reasonably qualified public speaker.
