I have been teaching in a school setting for the last ten years. During these 10 years I have taught diverse grades such as PreK, K, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and Dyslexia Therapy in School Districts throughout the Dallas Area. My previous experience before working in the public school setting have been as a community organizer, teaching indigenous communities and also tutoring at-risk drop out youth. In the public schools, tutoring activities take place and I have collaborated with other teachers to present lessons in a whole new format.

I have taught both Bilingual and Spanish as a Second Language also. The best thing about tutoring a student is to observe his/her growth and self esteem boost through skill mastery.

My experience teaching English to Bilingual Students has given me the skills to teach the English Language in a Multisensorial way, incorporating elements such as phonics, phonology exercises, spelling taught by analyzing the language's influence from other languages, relating speech to print and vice versa.

Spanish is my native language and I am also qualified to teach Spanish Dyslexia. My method is taught by constantly making comparisons between English and Spanish.

I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham model for reading, writing and oral language remediation. My experience teaching several grades has given me the opportunity to connect the skills taught between grades. My experience working with my son who is also dyslexic has provided me with the knowledge necessary for academic success.

Dyslexia therapy provides tools for students to mediate the life-long language difficulties that presents in a child. I promise that every time I tutor your child, it will feel as teaching my own. I share your same emotions regarding your child's Dyslexia.
