I love teaching. I have been an educator for more than 30 years teaching Physics and Chemistry to High School level sophomores to seniors. I have also tutored freshman and sophomore level college students helping them to overcome the subject matter. I consider myself to be a very non-traditional instructor. I base my instruction on the needs of the student and adjust as we move through the lesson. My focus is always on the needs of the student. During my teaching, I was selected as Teacher of the Year by my school on two occasions. My students love my class.
I am currently retired from the classroom, but I want to continue to help students to be successful and to develop a passion and understanding of science. Science can be intimidating to many students and teachers are not always interested in ensuring that students enjoy the subject and overcome their anxieties.
My Bachelor of Science is from the University of Texas. My majors were Physics and Chemistry. I have my Masters of Science degree from Texas A&M University in Education. In addition to teaching Physics and Chemistry, I have served as a Principal and Superintendent of Schools.
I would love to assist you to succeed in your classes. The lessons and assistance will be personal and will focus on making you a success. Let me personalize a tutor session that will help you to improve your performance in science.
