Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I spent 3 years working as a math lab supervisor (tutoring lab) and pre-algebra adjunct teacher at Panola Junior College. I worked with students of all ages, some fresh out of high school and others going back to college after many years. I will spend time gauging each student's understanding of individual subjects. I will make sure a topic is mastered before moving on to the next one. Each student learns differently and has different educational backgrounds so it is important I teach each student according to his/her needs.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I spent 3 years as a math adjunct teacher and math lab supervisor at Panola College. I am familiar with Pearson and other online materials used for math. I have tutored all subjects and taught intermediate algebra for 6 semesters.
Geometry,

Geometry

Geometry is different than the algebra classes and can be taught using more interactive techniques. I spent 3 months teaching Geometry and Pre-AP Geometry. I think the use of visual aids can be very beneficial with math and especially Geometry.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is typically the first math class in high school and it's purpose it to prepare the student for their Algebra I & II courses. I have experience teaching pre-algebra subjects to students of all ages and focus on the fundamental principles of algebra.

Great Algebra 2 tutor

My daughter has met several times with Kayla and she really likes Kayla. She is becoming more confident in the subject due to clear instruction from Kayla on materials covered. In fact, on her latest test, she made a high A in her test. She is so excited! We are planning to continue having Kayla help her. Also, Kayla is very in responses and easy to schedule. I highly recommend her!

Kayla is awesome!!

The light is finally flickering on inside my 15 year old!! Math had been a real struggle until Kayla got a hold of him. He's finally 'gettin it' - Thank you Kayla

Very talented and patient teacher.

Kayla has the ability to make math understandable. I was completely lost when we started working with quadratic equations. By the end of the lesson I had a good understanding of quadratic equations.
