About Robert

Once when I was in Junior High School, I was sitting in Algebra class. Mr. Avagodoro passed out all of the math tests he had just graded, but I didn't get my test back. Mr. Avagodoro asked the class, "Did anyone not get their test back?" I raised my hand, and he announced, that is because you received a perfect score - 115! Every question correct, plus the bonus question, and I am using your test to go over the answers!" I am good at math, and would love to make you good at math. I took Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Physics at Del Rio High School in Del Rio, Texas; then took Calculus I, Calculus II, Trigonometry, and Differential Equations at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. Over the years I have been the person co-workers and family have asked to help their kids with Junior High and High School Math. My tutoring experience has mainly consisted of helping students with their homework assignments.

I've been playing guitar since I was a teenager - acoustic guitar at first, then electric. While in college, I took lead guitar lessons at a local music store. These guitar lessons helped me understand Chords, Scales, and Music Theory. I played in several garage bands over the years, and am now the lead guitarist for the band "Southernman" which has been playing paying gigs for about a year and a half. I have also been giving guitar lessons to both children and adults for about two years. Most of my guitar students have been beginners including a 6-year-old girl, a 10-year-old-boy and, a 14-year-old girl, and a Fort Hood Lieutenant. I've also taught intermediate-level guitar players including a 20-something young woman and her 18-year-old brother. I've developed a song book that I use to teach from that presents the basic chords starting with easy songs and gets progressively more difficult. I also have the knowledge to teach scales, lead guitar, and improvisation if a student has desire to pursue these things.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
