In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been designing, building and using spreadsheets since the early 1980's and have significant experience in all aspects of Microsoft Excel.
I have used Microsoft Word to develop formal resumes, corporate presentations, invoices, correspondence and various other documents and presentations.
My senior year in high school I was a local, regional and state finalist and finished 2nd at the National level in the Distribution Education National Public Speaking Competition. This competition was unique, in that you were given a topic only 30 minutes before making your 5 minute speech to a panel of judges. Truly "extemporaneous" speaking.
I have completed the Dale Carnegie Professional Development Course of which Public Speaking is a major component.
In addition, I have conducted numerous Continuing Education Classes (content creator and presenter) as part of the Houston Chapter - Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, given presentations to several different chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators outlining the results of their annual survey, and participated as a speaker in the Annual Corporate retreat for several different employers.
I have written speeches, given speeches, and critiqued speeches given by others, and feel imminently qualified to assist others in enhancing their Public Speaking skills.
