I have taught General Education Pre-K-1, and special education all ability levels pre k-8th grade. I currently worn for the University of Texas Charter School as a special education teacher/ ARD facilitator.
I am passionate about teaching children and making sure that they become the best they can be, giving each child every opportunity to learn, to do and to see all that is available out there for him/her. It’s not only education that is important for each child to receive but it’s to develop the all important area of self esteem and confidence. Learning and achieving a better quality of self esteem backed with knowledge and wisdom will help to provide for needed life skills. Over all, witnessing and being part of children learning and striving to achieve goals gives me great delight and immense satisfaction. Teaching is not a job, it’s a lifestyle because one must be passionate about learning and watching children grow and develop into adult members of society.
This also carries over to an area where I have a great compassion for the needs of special education and gifted children. When the children are striving to achieve goals and assimilate into society as a whole, I desire to be part of their experiences in education. It’s also important to educate society to accommodate those with special needs.
