University of Texas of the Permian Basin (Psychology)
I am a BA with graduate double major from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Psychology and Sociology. I currently work in the psychiatric field in an administrative position with a heavy emphasis in writing and professional communication. Currently I am studying for the GMAT in order to apply to an MBA program at local University. My undergraduate major required a minimum of 85% writing and test preparation load. I can tutor in study techniques, test preparation, reading, basic writing, scientific writing, grammar, history and concept of theory.
The emphasis of my undergraduate degree required a large amount of technical and scientific writing. I enjoy the written word and the meaning that can be applied in regard to subject matter.
I truly enjoy the collective history of the world. As a double major that included Sociology, I was required and was engaged in the necessary understanding of the individual, cultural and ethnic histories an societies of our planet.
I am the tutor that can make a subject that seems hard engaging and fun. All learning is about the approach, and even the most difficult subjects can be learned if the tutor is flexible with the learning style of the student. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
