I studied Physics at Harvey Mudd where I was also an active member of the math community; I was both a grader and tutor for both the math and physics department. At Harvey Mudd I earned a BS in Physics and graduated with high distinction with a GPA of 3.85. I studied Physics at Harvey Mudd where I was also an active member of the math community; I was both a grader and tutor for both the math and physics department. At Harvey Mudd I earned a BS in Physics and graduated with high distinction with a GPA of 3.85. In addition to physics I completed most of the math major requirements including Real analysis, Linear algebra, Differential Equation, Complex Integration, Statistical Theory, Discrete Mathematics, and Algorithms. My Physics education including, Quantum Mechanics, Optics, Classical Mechanics, Relativity, BioPhysics, and Electricity and Magnetism.

In the summer of 2017, I took my first teaching job where I worked in a classroom setting teaching Science to Middle School students (Chemistry + Renewable Energy). I then taught classes at the Yang Academy to high school students (Chemistry and Physics).

Since 2020, alongside my former job as a Quantitative Trader I tutored on weekends and after work. I taught mainly Physics and Math but also occasionally Chemistry and SAT/ACT/ISEE test prep. I believe that students deserve flexibility and patience and I try to always keep an open line of communication with my students regarding scheduling and lesson style!

I have tutored math classes up to the level of Vector Calculus (i.e. Calculus 3), and I have experience tutoring/teaching over the last 4 years. Previously I worked at a very competitive job as a Quantitative Trader where I applied a lot of probability, statistics, logic, and modeling principles and I'm well aware of the type of real-world problems that mathematics helps us solve.

Anyone can learn anything, but some people should ask for help. Asking for help is a sign of determination to get better, and those are the kinds of people I know I can help.

Discrete Math,

Discrete Math

Discrete Math is slightly different than some other math classes like Calculus in that it more heavily calls upon critical thinking skills and less on fundamental formulae. Analyzing stock data and finding solutions to monetize a potential trading strategy calls upon a lot of the same critical thinking and I am familiar with algorithms taught in most discrete math classes. I have taken courses in both Computer Science Algorithms and Discrete Mathematics.
Logic,

Logic

Mathematical Logic is slightly different than some other math classes like Calculus in that it more heavily calls upon critical thinking skills and less on fundamental formulae. Analyzing stock data and finding solutions to monetize a potential trading strategy calls upon a lot of the same critical thinking and logic (e.g. logical operations are often used in programming when trying to create mathematical models and do data science). I am familiar with Set Theory, Real analysis, and Computability Theory (with logic). I have done many courses that require airtight logic and proof based concepts.
