Hello There! My name is Jose, and I'm committed to helping you understand the "mysteries" of math! I'm currently a Junior at the University of Houston. I'll be graduating in Spring 2021 with a Bachelor's in Mathematics and a minor in Manufacturing Systems.
I’ve been a tutor at a Math learning center for a little over a year now, so I've worked will all kinds of students and their Math problems. To be more specific, I tutored many students from 2nd-grade math up to Calculus (12th grade). Most of my tutoring experience has been with High students, which includes, Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Precal, and Calculus. Also, I work as a tutor at my former High School (I worked there this past year and intend to go back once school start). My students would come up to me bragging how they got a better grade than their peers after I tutored them. There was this time that I was invited to the Math department's meeting at the request of the Calculus teacher (who was my former teacher) so that the other teachers could meet me, and I could speak one-to-one with them and explain what topic most kids were struggling on. I was known as "The Math Guru" by my students within two months!
Aside from what I’ve said, I believe that math isn’t a hard subject, and I’m not saying this just because I enjoy it, some things don’t click for ALL students, and that’s where the problem arises. Some students tend to understand the topic one way, but when they're thought a different way, they get confused and start hating Math. My focus would be to find t
