Bio

I am a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor degree in Chemistry, and a second Bachelor degree from Houston Baptist University in Biochemistry. I am the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) coordinator for my local YMCA. I understand that learning math or chemistry can be challenging, but I’m here to help! My approach to tutoring is based on teaching the foundations of math and science processes, along with concepts, and skill development.

My approach to tutoring is based on teaching the foundations of math and science processes, along with concepts, and skill development.

From my years of tutoring children in grades 3-8, I’ve seen brilliant kids struggle with the STAAR test due to a lack of understanding of certain concepts. Through my STAAR preparation activities, your child will meet and exceed grade level proficiency. I personalize all material based on your individual needs to ensure all concepts and skills are mastered before moving on to another topic.

I also have 12+ years of experience working as a Math and Chemistry tutor within the following areas:

MATH AREAS
•Elementary Math (Fractions/decimals, multi-step multiplication and division, etc.)
•Middle School (Geometry, Algebra I, etc.)
•High School (Algebra I/II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, etc.)
•College (Remedial Math, Algebra, etc.)

CHEMISTRY AREAS
•Middle School (6-8)
•High School (9-12)
•College (Chemistry I/II)

My goal is to equip students to teach themselves mathematics or chemistry for a lifetime. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information.
