I'm an honors graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering and over five years of both industry experience and teaching high school Chemistry. While in high school, I really enjoyed concepts of both math and science which led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering. My Chemistry professor noticed my understanding of the course work and my ability to explain concepts to peers. He hired me as a freshman to the work-study program tutoring center my second semester. Since that day, I have found a special appreciation for being able to take math and science concepts from complex to comfortable by using frequently encountered information to provide for a clearer understanding. This also helps me in optimizing my performance in both the classroom and tutorial setting.

I have experience working with students on various levels, students with autism, students that are visually impaired, students that are English Language Learners, students online, and over the phone! Primarily for Chemistry, however I frequently cross over to Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Physics. I also host Saturday morning sessions beginning at 8 AM for a minimum of two hours.

I will forever be comfortable with concepts of Algebra. I have a special enthusiasm for Chemistry and seeing others easily understanding what they thought to be impossible by connecting concepts to what they encounter frequently.

My overall goal is to ensure that students are able to understand various forms of information in a way that is suitable to their understanding. I feel that this makes them better life-long learners and reaches far beyond the realm of what they encounter in classroom environment. I implore you not to delay your decision as at the end of my sessions I'm most commonly told, "I wish I'd have started this sooner!" Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson, and I look forward to being of service. Thank you for your consideration and time having read this far! ;-)

He knew his stuff!

Just was so nice and definitely knew what he was talking about. He was patient with me. I’d definitely recommend him. I did my session online which wasn’t the best way. There was a noticeable lag. Not Justin’s fault though. Justin gets 5 stars. Wyzant system gets 2 stars.
