About Gerard

I am a Stanford University Cum Laude graduate and class President. I have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UT- Austin and graduated first in my class. Because of thorough knowledge and understanding, I earned straight A’s in Math, Science, Physics, and Engineering courses.

I am a seasoned tutor with several years of experience tutoring at the high school and collegiate level. My specialization is tutoring Thermodynamics, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, in addition to engineering related curriculum. I have an understanding and compassion for students with learning disabilities. I have superior experience in test preparation for SAT and ACT.

I am an excellent mentor for children, teenagers and adults. I work exceptionally well with every type of student-learner. I currently work as a Mechanical Engineer; therefore, I work in the field I studied and have been successful in my engineering role for over 10 years. My lessons will be custom tailored to your individual need, whether it be in test preparation, subject-related, study strategies, or help with homework, I will help you achieve optimum results. References are available upon request should you desire to speak with previous students.

If you or your child is willing to put in the hard work, I can almost guarantee substantial improvement. I am looking forward to working with you! Thank you in advance for your interest, and I look forward to helping you, or your son/daughter achieve his/her academic and personal goals.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Differential Equations

I have received a BS mechanical engineering degree from Stanford University. I have received a MS mechanical engineering degree from the University of Texas. I currently practice mechanical engineering on a daily basis in my industry. I am skilled in ODE and PDE.

Electrical Engineering

I have taken several electrical engineering courses during my BS studies at Stanford University. I currently practice electrical engineering on a daily basis in my industry to create printed circuit boards. I use coding (MATLAB, Python, etc.) to create various software programs.
