About Beaux

Howdy,

My name is Beaux and I'm certified as an EIT by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. I have direct experience tutoring calculus, trigonometry, statics, dynamics, and other math based engineering principles from when I was a student tutor at Texas Tech University.
My emphasis is in fostering comprehension of the base materials through real world examples, metaphors, and analogies. I love to pick up new skills and find creative uses for what I've learned. Also, I still have almost all of my college text books. I back up my stories with well documented work processes.

As a licensed EIT, mathematics plays an integral role in quantifying engineering design choices and quantifying decisions. I have a minor in Math from Texas Tech university and tutored college level calculus and trig at Texas Tech's Whitacre College of Engineering building for over two years.

I am certified as an EIT, Engineer in Training, by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. This means that I've taken and passed an eight hour comprehensive engineering exam and am pursuing full engineering license in Texas. I can help you understand engineering concepts and their applications in real world and work conditions.

Contact me for any problems you may have with your engineering maths and sciences. I come prepared for the material with my own experiences and textbooks and I love to reintroduce problems and concepts in new or novel ways... especially if you want to hear about classic car restoration!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Linear Algebra

I have completed a college level linear algebra course at Texas Tech University and have since continued using the material in engineering practices related to linear regression, state-space approximation, and linear and non-linear differential equations.

Mechanical Engineering

I have completed a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University and have continued to use that education in engineering practices for pressure vessels, fluid flow estimation, general EPC estimation, and design as a certified EIT.
