About Hannah

My name is Hannah and I have been a teacher for four years. My students are often high school students with English as their second language. For these students I have provided a cultural and conceptual bridge between cultures. I also teach one middle school art class every year. I primarily teach art, dance and social studies but have also taught various other subjects. I have a bachelor's in art (emphasis on drawing and painting) and a bachelor's in psychology. I'm also certified to teach art k-12, history and special ed. I am also a working artist in Houston: primarily portrait oil paintings and large scale murals.

I am open to museum visits for enrichment purposes and It would be my pleasure to share my knowledge. I have a lot of passion and energy about art and I am constantly fueling my knowledge with past and contemporary art. I am an avid reader. I am also comfortable with literature papers and history assignments. My students have shown great improvements after working with me. In addition to traditional tutoring services I have also provided coaching for college and job interviews. My approach to tutoring is based on the particular needs of the student. Through active listening I am able to discern and pinpoint both immediate and long-term learning objectives in order to make sessions both productive and enlightening.

Over the years I have developed organizational and conceptual techniques for term paper writing that save the student precious time and reduce angst. I emphasize the practical while encouraging creativity and imagination. My students become efficient in completing their work in a timely manner and so come to enjoy their academic years.

I can help you with Art (specialty in Painting and Drawing), Art Theory, Art History, Sculpture, Color Theory, Test Prep, World History, Government, Economics, Communication Applications, Literature and Photography.

I am adaptable and am willing to adjust and work with any student and accommodate them as best as I can and work with their specific learning styles, abilities and schedules.
