Born a teacher - I had the idea at an early age that I wanted to teach. However, others suggested that I try other career areas, which is how I became a chemical engineer and manager. I first started tutoring as a college freshman at the request of two professors and tutored Spanish, Chemistry and Calculus throughout college.
I worked professionally in the areas that I tutor most often (math, chemistry, French). I was a chemical engineer in St. Louis, MO and Houston, TX. I also had the opportunity to work for the French government doing research and in the chemical and petrochemical sectors. I taught middle school technology (computers) and high school French, science and math for five years. The same year that I left the classroom to help classroom teachers become better teachers, I started tutoring again. I currently work as a Director of College & Career Readiness and help students/parents navigate the higher education system if they have particular questions.

I taught both of these courses and am an expert in breaking down the steps until they are small enough and logical for students to remember. I also have real-life experiences in where the different math skills are truly used--anything from daily life to engineering applications.

By education, I'm a chemical engineer with 30 hours of chemistry courses. I taught chemistry and biology (honors and regular levels).

I have a Bachelor's degree in French and earned my first Masters degree (Technological Innovation) from a French university. Spanish was my first foreign language and enjoy creating ways to remember vocabulary words and grammar structures. I have also provided private lessons on conversational French and Spanish.

Encouragement is part of plan from the beginning. Two key phrases of mine are "Remember to celebrate the small victories" and "Confidence breeds success." Let me find out where your skills are, and let's grow together.
