About Michael

My name is Michael and I'm a great logical thinker. A simple motto I've always had is if you can prove it, you can learn it. I'm a magna cum laude graduate in my high school, and currently a sophomore at the University of Houston majoring in computer science and minoring in math. My way of teaching is to continually work on problems with the student till they learn the patterns, formulas, and the critical thinking needed to do the problems on their own.

I started taking higher level math courses beginning in 7th grade, and never faltered since. In my senior year of high school I took Calculus BC. When I took my SAT I scored in the top 93 percentile on the Math section. Now in college I have taken Calculus 3 and am currently enrolled in Linear Algebra. I have always had a love for math and look forward for sharing my knowledge of math with you.

In my sophomore year of high school I switched into Computer Science 1 due to a conflict in scheduling with my other classes. I was a semester behind and had to self tech myself Java to catch up. The next year I took AP Computer Science 2, took the AP test and aced it getting a 5. Throughout my junior and senior year I went to many computer science competitions in Cypress, Waller, and Katy, including HP Code Wars. Now in college I have created programs tasked to do things ranging from sorting numbers, multiplying number to large to store, and graphing the top incoming and outgoing webpages.

My areas of expertise are in math, science and computer science.

Math: majority of all middle school, high school, and some college math classes.

Science: majority of all middle school, high school classes, and college level physics classes.

Computer Science: high school AP Computer Science and above, intro level college level classes.

I look forward to hearing back from my students and for them to email me with topics they would like for me help them in for our next session.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
