There is a special place in my heart for helping others learn and succeed, whether I am training a new employee or tutoring a student in German. I am a beginner in the realm of tutoring, but my experience in ESL and German tutoring was incredibly rewarding. I studied German for six years; my last semester took place at the University of Leipzig. Additionally, I studied an academic year of French, one semester of which was in Angers, France. Upon my return, I taught an ESL class through Literacy Advance. I have tutored individuals in German for a year. I am interested continuing my work as a dedicated tutor through WyzAnt.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I studied visual art at The High School for Performing and Visual Arts, and I currently work as a freelance illustrator and designer. I worked at Surroundings, a family-owned home decor shop, for four years as a graphic designer and merchandise photographer. I designed post cards and web graphics as well as painted lamp shades and murals for the store.
