About Michael

I'm an economics major from the University of Houston. I have a lot of experience in politics and business, from managing a retail stores to managing political campaigns in Houston.

I have tutored AISD students at Burnet MS, Mendez MS, LBJ HS, and Eastside HS in Austin and Hernandez MS in Round Rock in math and algebra. I've tutored my nieces (14, 10, and 9), throughout their years in school and have tutored over 220 individual students in the past 3 years.

What makes me qualified is my knowledge of the material and experience in training and tutoring hundreds of individuals to be able to understand the what and why behind what they are learning.

I enjoy seeing my students go on to accomplish their goals and I strive to make sure they do so by explaining the process, repeating the process, practicing, and having fun.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
