I've helped students with calculus, precalculus and algebra for a few years. This fall I was a teaching assistant for a probability/engineering statistics course at the University of Illinois. I really enjoy trying to help people understand and enjoy math. I try to put myself in students shoes and think about what would've made the most sense when I was learning the subject.
I've taken online linear algebra as well as more rigorous linear algebra 1 and 2 at Virginia Tech. I've helped with linear algebra at the Math Emporium for a few years.
I enjoy helping students of all abilities and believe that everyone has the capabilities of succeeding in their math class. My style of tutoring is to try and have the student explain the concepts to me in their own words, and work on understanding things based on what they already know. Whether you're a math genius or math-phobic, you will find me to be patient and encouraging to work with.
