I earned a Master's degree in Chemistry. While in undergraduate school I was a supplemental instructor for organic chemistry. In graduate school I worked as a laboratory instructor for the organic chemistry lab, this included teaching about the laboratory experiments and the concepts of chemistry for why the experiment worked the way it did.
Since graduating with my Master's degree, I have been teaching as an adjunct professor of general Chemistry at various community colleges. I am currently at San Jacinto Community College south campus. I want others to enjoy and understand chemistry the way I do, this makes tutoring and teaching fun for me. I like to see when people understand a subject and make a connection.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
