About Michelle

I’m a Houstonian and a cum laude graduate with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. I developed my interest in solving equations when I was in elementary school, and that interest only grew once I entered my 8th-grade algebra class. Because I am experienced in math for some years, I understand how much work is required to study such a subject.

After my first two years in college, my school’s tutoring center offered me a position to work for them. I accepted, and it was the best decision I ever made. I fell in love with tutoring during the next two years in college, helping fellow students succeed in their courses and bonding with them in the process. I even tutored during the summers in between, including the summer after my graduation.

My expertise is in algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and calculus 1. I’m also experienced in SAT prep. I wish to help the student understand what each problem is asking for and how to approach a solution. I explain the problem-solving methods and show them, and then I let the student apply the methods for themselves.

I'm willing to drive to any place where the student wishes to meet me for their convenience. I provide makeup tutoring sessions if the student cancels a session and still wishes to see me.

If you need help, I’m happy to provide my services! I look forward to hearing from you!

Great Pre cal tutor! I did great on my final because of Michelle! With two days of her tutoring, I made a 90 on my final and my highest test grade before that was a 62.
