“**Fabulous Physics Tutor**”

I am a senior graduating this fall with a double major in physics and math from the University of Houston Clear Lake. I am an active participant in the UHCL Astronomy Club and president of the Physics Club. I speak fluent Norwegian and English.

I started tutoring seven years ago. My tutoring experience includes working for Numberworks

Alexander has been amazing! My daughter has improved her grade in physics and it is directly because of Alexander. He is professional, patient, timely and flexible. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Alexander helped me to have a better understanding on Friction , and he was very helpful when i didn't know how to solve the problem.

My 17 yr old was very comfortable with Alexander. He commented on how much he learned in just one lesson. My son is already pretty good at math but he needed the confidence that someone like Alexander gives him going into the SAT.

Great tutor explained in a way my daughter could understand . Look forward to have you come on a regular basis . Thank you !

Alexander saw that I was struggling and took the time to breakdown different aspects and ensure that I knew what I was doing. If I continued to struggle he would find a different approach until it clicked with me. Alexander is extremely patient and ensures you know what you're doing.

Alexander helped prepare me for an Algebra 2 CBE. He also taught me 2 chapters worth of AP Physics! He is a very thorough and patient tutor. He assigned practice problems for everything he taught and also offered help via email if needed. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a tutor for math or physics!

Alexander has been working with our 15 year old for several weeks now and it has been great! Alexander knows his stuff and has a great way of teaching very high level Math problems. Glad glad we found him on Wyzant.

Alexander is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and great at explaing concepts in detail. I am 50 andI took Cal 1, 2 times before and failed. He helped me pass this time with a high grade. Thanks so Much!

The dude always makes sure that you understand the concept before moving on to the next topic. Luckily it does not take long to understand because he is great tutor.

Rock solid patience! He shows you several different ways to work problems, and gives the best helpful hints. Also he brings materials in case you don't have anything with you :)

Alexander came to tutor my daughter in physics. By the time he left she was very happy and said she actually learned her lessons. They will meet again for sure! Thank you!

He went over every concept that I had trouble with in great detail and he's very easy to work with.

Extremely knowledgable. My daughter had had tutors before but this time she came out of her lesson feeling more confident with the help he gave her. Will be contacting him again

I left his lesson feeling confident about the subjects we discussed. He really made me learn how to sort of relax and simplify a wordy or convoluted problem before going into it.

Great first session! Went over some basic physics concepts to help build on future objectives. It was good to start from the basics for me because I did not have those down before we met. We reviewed one dimensional kinematics, as well as isolating variables in equations. I appreciated that he started at the beginning so that I can understand how to use those in places as needed.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

As a physics and math major I routinely use the skills taught in algebra 1. I have years of experience tutoring middle and high school students in this topic.

As a physics major I routinely use the skills taught in algebra 2. I have years of experience tutoring middle and high school students in this topic.

Calculus is a basic skill required for a real understanding of most of the hard sciences, especially physics. I use the material taught in calculus courses on a daily basis.

I received A grades in my general chemistry courses and remember the material very well. I have some experience tutoring in these subjects. Certain physics courses I have taken have given me a deeper understanding of several topics covered by general chemistry courses, such as basic thermodynamics and entropy. I have also taken organic chemistry.

I have a 1450+ rating on the Chess Time app, which puts me somewhere in the top 1% of the roughly 1.3 million users. I play often with other math and physics majors at UHCL. I am not an extraordinary player, but I only personally know a couple players who can beat me more often than I beat them.

I routinely use differential equations for my core physics classes. I have taken a course on ordinary differential equations as a math elective. Both ordinary and partial differential equations were covered in physics-oriented math courses required for my physics degree. I am also very familiar with integral transforms and other related subjects.

The subjects covered in a finite math course are prerequisite knowledge for a wide range of courses I have taken as a math and physics major. I have tutored this subject before and I am familiar with the topics generally covered in finite math courses.

I received an A in a linear algebra course at Houston Community College. I am happy to provide a transcript. I found the content of the course relatively easy to understand. I think I could be helpful to other students who are struggling with a linear algebra course.

I routinely use the content of precalculus courses in my upper-level math and physics courses. Many of the students I tutor either have questions about this class or require occasional reminders on how to apply this content to their other math and science courses.
