In my years of language teaching I have been responsible for preparation and instruction of three multi-level language courses. I teach English to speakers of other languages, from beginner ESOL to business English and French and Arabic. My experience working with a variety of students has honed my ability of assessing students’ levels. I have years of experience creating progress reports and advising students on programs and course choice. I have worked with middle and high school students as well as extensive work with executive level professionals on English presentation skills, email and business writing, and pronunciation. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was born in Morocco where both Arabic and french are the national languages. since kindergarten, I was being taught in both languages all the way through high school. I have used the Arabic knowledge to provide private lessons. I have also worked in teaching Arabic for Berlitz Language schools for over six years. I have been teaching Arabic to high school, and college students as well as government employees through Berlitz, and I have worked as an Arabic/English interpreter for immigration courts. I have built the experience to conduct both group and private lessons, and have even had the occasion to create a specific curriculum in particular cases.
