Hi, I am 27 years old. I am a Chinese tutor and have been in America since 2013. I am a very motivated and hard worker. My experience with tutoring is both in private and public settings. While studying for my Master's degree in China I ran study groups for students studying their bachelor's degree. I also currently tutor a 9 year old girl and 7 year old boy in both spoken and written Chinese. I have a passion for teaching others my native language and believe that an introduction to Chinese culture and language can have immense benefits for American students.
Depending on the experience my students have in Chinese we will start anywhere from basic conversation to advanced. My student and I can work on top of what they may already know or we can start from scratch. The dialect we will be studying is Mandarin, the most spoken of the Chinese dialects. Many provinces in China have their own 'spin' on Mandarin, but you can be assured that due to my being from Shandong Province the Mandarin my students will be studying is accurate and widely understood. I can teach my students to understand the differences between the dialects if they so choose. Thank you for your time and I look forward to working with you soon! Hi, I am 27 years old. Junli Q is a wonderful tutor. She tutors my 7 year old Grandson and he really likes her. Very skilled in the Chinese language. Makes it easy for a child to follow. Highly recommended.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am native Chinese from Shandong Province. I have received both my Bachelor's and Master's degree in China, a rare feat for a woman even in today's culture. I am in America to learn American Culture, but am more than qualified to tutor someone in both spoken and written Chinese language. I have also grown up in an English speaking Chinese family and can efficiently communicate with the boys or girls that I will be tutoring.
