Teaching has been a lifelong passion for me and the heartfelt satisfaction I get upon seeing my students' success is incomparable to anything else in the world. I have been teaching subjects related to English to a variety of age groups since 2000. In fact, what made me an outstanding student in my B.A and M.A English studies was my practice of teaching right from the start and the insight I received into the field by teaching English. So far, I have helped hundreds of students fulfill their academic desires in other countries by successfully taking some serious exams like TOEFL and IELTS. This career has bestowed a lot of blessing on my life as I have had my students' good wishes wholeheartedly.
I specialize in IELTS, TOEFL, writing, reading, grammar, speaking and all other components of English language such as pronunciation, intonation and the like. My sessions usually last 2 hours unless the students opt for a longer or shorter one. My lesson plan differs for every individual student considering his/her needs, placement and expectations. I usually assign tasks for further practice at home and and analysis for the follow-up sessions. I usually have assessments for students every five session.
My first meeting with the student is free in which I run an assessment to determine the level upon which I will design a syllabus and in the required sessions I work meticulously with the student to achieve the ends. As for cancellation, I allow each student to cancel 3 times without notice and no charge is applied.
I usually travel to students' places for the teaching unless they have no comfortable place in which case it can be held at my place. I also teach group classes if the conditions are prepared.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you, dear pupils and students, and I will do whatever it takes to bring about your heartfelt satisfaction and to pave the way for your academic success. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have majored in teaching English to nonnative speakers and I have a 14-year experience of teaching English for different purposes. I have focused on up-to-date resources to teach and along with that I have developed my own material to ease the learning process.
ELLS would always enjoy an integrated classroom practice involving them in all skills and subskills. I draw on my valuable repertoire of experience to bring about such a situation for my students. In my experience, teaching should be of a fun and diverse nature so that the ell would never get bored. have always relied on this to make my classes successful.
I am a native speaker of Farsi and with my major and many years of teaching English to Farsi speakers, I have obtained a sound and academic understanding of Farsi and how its linguistic system compares to that of English. I also have several years of interpretation experience, which even makes me much more prepared in tutoring Farsi to speakers of English.
Grammar is an essential skill to have to make growth possible in all the 4 skills of speaking, writing, reading and listening. However, based on the student's target, I work on a resource tailor-made to his/her need.
Since I finished my master's program in Teaching English as a Foreign Language in 2005, I have tutored IELTS to many IELTS candidates who either want to study abroad or plan to apply for immigration in countries like Australia, Canada, and The UK. I have archived many of their report papers showing high scores they have received upon the first time they took IELTS. I know all the ins and outs of this test as I have studied and taught most IELTS resources and I have produced several pamphlets of my own to present to my trainees. I am fully prepared to discuss all matters related to IELTS in the most professional way possible.
Proofreading has always been an important part of my teaching experience as for most students writing is a vital skill and their written works invariably require proofreading. With my in-depth knowledge of sentence structure, vocabulary, punctuation, and spelling I always make sure the quality of a writing is standardized and the prospective reader is impressed by the work.
Reading is one of those areas in which the right level and selection of materials for the student to read is of paramount importance. If the passages are not tailor-made to the students' level, interest and purpose, they would easily give up. However, relying on my extensive experience in reading and comprehension, I always make sure the best methods, practices and passages are chosen for the student.
TOEFL is an important testing system success in which paves the way for getting admission from many reputable universities. With the IBT generation of TOEFL, the students are required to practice their computer skills, especially for the writing part. Given my experience of preparing hundreds of students for this test, I always ensure to make this course brief and to-the-point so students will be able to catch up with the admission deadlines.
"Words are like pegs to hang ideas on", some famous writer once said. Vocabulary development is always the most challenging part of learning a foreign language. However, this task could be made easier if vocabulary is thoughtfully organized into different topics. I do not tend to make vocabulary seen as a set of single words, but as collections and phrases which ultimately lead to more accurate performances on the part of the learner.
Writing is where many important sub-skills like sentence structure, style, punctuation, paragraphing, etc. should emerge. I always ensure writing tasks are given to the students from the beginning sessions so there should be time for enough practice to deal with all the areas which contribute to better and more accurate writing. I have prepared my own pamphlets for writing samples the reading of which inspires a lot of ways and ideas to write more effectively.
