About Sang

I am a college student who specializes in math. I enjoy teaching and need to earn a bit of money for tuition so decided to become a tutor for this semester. I enjoy helping others and have never had a problem teaching. I have prior experience from teaching since my high school years. My hopes are once you get to know me I become a friend and someone you can rely on.

I have taught before in high school as a senior. Mostly I taught SAT to sophomore and freshman students. I specialized in math which I got an 800 on and although I got a 770 on writing grammar is still confusing to me as it has been. I graduated from Seven Lakes High school and my teaching method would be repetitive practice and understanding the concept. I learned while studying in high school winging tests would give me a low A 90, but actually preparing and studying while finishing every single problem assigned would land me an ace almost every time. I was one of those typical procrastinators when I first started high school, but after my freshman year I was able to organize myself and do well in every class, but Spanish. As I started tutoring in senior year I found out how fun it was and how well I got along with others. So I decided whenever I had spare time I would try and be a tutor.

However, being a tutor wasn't easy in college with the different responsibilities from high school. So after taking three semesters in one year (spring, fall, summer) I decided to take a break for a semester and earn tuition.

I have experience teaching young children to high school students. I am currently teaching young children in the Salvation Army's after school program which has proven to be a success in converting the amount of kids failing in school into kids acing subjects. The kids would be between pre-k to 8th grade so I have experience in teaching all sorts of ages. If your interested please email me.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
