I have long had the experience of volunteer mentoring and tutoring adolescents since my youth at my local church. During my tenure at Vanderbilt, I created a program which aided teachers at a local Nashville elementary school by providing tutoring to students during school hours. I personally was able to help elementary students on the 2nd and 3rd grade level with reading and math.
