In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have several years of experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders. I have training in both ABA methods and the Mandt system.
While much of my work in this area has focused on behavior therapy, I have done academic tutoring with these clients as well. I find this work particularly enjoyable.

As a PhD student, study skills are an essential element of my everyday work. I can help you organize your study calendar, determine study methods that work for you, and help you learn to identify what part of your material (in any subject) is important and deserving of focus.
