As someone with both a Masters and a Doctorate in Education, I believe that education is the catalyst for limitless opportunities. As someone with both a Masters and a Doctorate in Education, I believe that education is the catalyst for limitless opportunities. Tutoring students in test taking strategies, specifically in TAKS, STARR, ASVAB, and SAT/ACT subjects, provides a great sense of satisfaction. This is because many students miss opportunities simply because of test results. Most students have the academic capabilities, but simply don't have a sound testing strategy.

In addition, helping students in English comprehension, spelling, vocabulary, and writing establishes the foundation needed for every core subject. While performing as a 4th and 5th grade teacher, students enjoyed a tough, thorough, rigorous academic environment that was results oriented.

My teaching method seeks to identify and maximize on the students' strengths.

Test Preparation

ASVAB,

ASVAB

My academic skills and knowledge of testing strategies is what I offer for this assessment. I have spent more than 25 years working with the US Military in one aspect or another. I have trained educators on understanding the ASVAB test. I was in public education for five years prior to working for the federal government. The key to doing well on the ASVAB is applying sound test taking strategies coupled with your normal academic skills. Time management is the area most test takers run into difficulties.

Patient and clear communicator

Dywaine was a great fit for my son. He provided some very specific feedback and assigned him work to hold him accountable. My son is looking forward to his next lesson and is excited about his potential!

He is laid back and I was able to understand him

"I am feeling pretty good more about my vocabulary knowledge"' my son stated. The ASVAB is what the focus has been. The sessions are structured for my son and includes the follow up needed to help him see his progress or lack thereof

Great tutor!

Dywaine gave our 15 year old great test-taking strategies that have already made a difference. We look forward to continuing to have him tutor him regularly. He responded to our inquiries promptly and was very flexible with regard to scheduling sessions around our busy schedules.

Great Tutor

I am very lucky that I found Dr. Dywaine. My child had been out of school for a while and needed the confidence to get back into studying. Dr. Dywaine was able to put my child at ease. He is calm and knowledgeable. I highly recommended Dr. Dywaine!

Excellent tutor!

Dywaine had a flexible schedule and was able to meet with me consistently in a short amount of time. I took the ASVAB and scored a 60. After 4 weeks of him tutoring me, I scored a 92! He taught me how to take the test, and how to study for it. I would recommend him to anyone! He is professional and very knowledgeable of the ASVAB and the military overall. Thank you!
