I have studied Spanish since the second grade and followed it all the way through college, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Spanish major. The elementary school I attended was part of that same college system and was designed as a program for student teachers in their quest for a teaching degree. Since all of my teachers were full-fledged professors at the college, I received a very high degree of education. My class teacher spoke fluent Spanish so many of our lessons were performed in Spanish. I was inundated with the language and I became hooked on it. Out of my entire elementary school class, I was the only one to pursue language through the college level. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have studied Spanish from the age of 7 all the way through college, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Spanish. I am proficient in Spanish grammar, vocabulary and have an excellent accent. I have a great affinity for the language and would love to be able to pass that on to others.
