About AZREL

Greetings!

First things first:

*My Profile Pic: I'm a seasoned professional outside of my education work. For that reason, I do not post personal photos of myself online; however, I'm more than willing and available to iChat or Skype.

I'm honored with the opportunity to help solidify and sustain confidence & assurance in students amid the myriad of scholastic activities they encounter. With the saddening increase of bullying, violence, & disruptive nuances in schools, tutoring may be one the essential necessities for students' overcoming the varying stresses that stand to stifle their educative goals like excellence in test scores(STAAR/ACT/SAT), GPA, & college preparation and placement.

My areas of expertise are English(Grammar, Literature, Writing), Reading/Comprehension, & Math. My preference of grade level for students is 2nd grade through 8th grade, though I'm currently working with a great 9th grade AP student. :)

***Choose a tutor/teacher who truly exudes heart passion for education & children. That's where true wealth wielded. It's not about the money; it's about how hearts are heralded with it.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Basketball

I made an A Basketball via a premier college basketball course, and I was also a varsity basketball player my freshman year in high school. I also trained for a major University college basketball team & I currently mentor youth basketball players amid the AAU league.

Elementary (K-6th)

For 3 years I worked as a long term substitute for 6th grade in Spring ISD. The students I've both mentored and tutored for a little under a decade have been between the grades K-8. I was also a Music & Movement Director for a private school where my specific age or grade of students were in the pre-school to 6th grade range.

Reading

I've taught long term as a Reading Teacher for 3 separate schools amid grades 1-5. I was awarded various accolades, as a published author for my creative works, which were endowed with strong efforts in literature, grammar, and comprehension. My major in college, which was English, submersed my scholastic aptitude with Honor Roll status amid a slue of English courses. Such was attainable with immaculate educative strides in the area and expertise of Reading Comprehension.

Writing

I am qualified in a Writing, Reading, and English. I'm also a published author, publisher, and web content provider.
