I have been tutoring most of my life. I tutored several year at my college and privately. I've helped the students understand the foundation of math. I also explained new methods that were being introduced. Academia is constantly changing the way that math problems are to be solved. I stay abreast with the changes by constantly learning and increasing knowledge. The best thing I can do for my students is to give them the best comprehension of the material.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I've tutored many students in this age group. For me, it's about building their foundation in math to prepare them for the math they'll have to take in middle school, high school and college. Once the foundation is built, students can begin to strive to achieve all of their academic goals with ease.
