I am a certified teacher who plans to complete certification in all 5 core subject areas before May of 2018. I am currently teaching a G.E.D. program and preparing to return to Law School. I have recently returned to the Rio Grande Valley due to family issues. I have good rapport in regards to working with individuals who have learning issues or disabilities because I am always of the belief that learning can and should be fun. I have a strong belief that if a child fails to obtain a quality education it is due in large part to their parents failing to look out for their intellectual interests. Parents need to understand that they have to work in conjunction with teachers and or tutors to ensure their child's success academically. Parents and teachers are partners in the ensuring that children are properly educated. If either side fails to live up to their end of the partnership then success is unlikely. Neither side should be pointing fingers, instead they should be joining hands.

History and Writing are my two strongest subject areas, but I am more than qualified to teach ELA and Math as well. I have to really gear up and focus for science, but my daughter is a thermonuclear engineer, so when I have a question or two I have a very reliable resource to assist me.

I would strongly encourage students who want to learn in a relaxed but very productive learning environment. As I previously stated learning can and should be fun. I am able to meet a few hours during the week and both Saturdays and Sundays.
