Hello! I just finished up my freshman year at the University of Houston and I'm back home for the summer. My major is biomedical engineering and I'm on track to graduate in the spring of 2022. I've had a lot of experience working with kids because I used to be an instructor at my taekwondo school before going to college. My class specifically was for 4-5 year olds but I would often sub for other instructors who taught the older kids as well.

While I've never formally tutored, I've always been a very good student and often times help my friends study or grasp concepts that they may have missed in class. Additionally, one of my professors personally asked me to apply to be a teaching assistant this past semester. I think that with my ability to work with kids and strong academic background I will make a great tutor if you're looking for someone to help your child catch up from the previous school year or maybe even get ahead.
Math has always been my favorite subject, which is probably why it's also my best. In 6th grade I took 8th grade math (pre-algebra) after passing two exams given to me by the school district. Then, once I was in 8th grade the school district decided to create a class that would cover algebra 2 and precalculus in one academic year so I took that exam and made it into that class as well, which is what allowed me to take AP calculus in 10th grade. I ended up getting a 5 on that AP exam which is the highest score you can get.
While math is my favorite subject, science is a close second. In high school I took and passed AP chemistry and AP biology and also scored a 33 out of 34 possible points on the ACT science section. Since my major is biomedical engineering, math and science is basically all I did this past academic year so I'd be more than happy to work with a student on science.
Although I just talked about how much I love math and science, I really am a well-rounded student. I scored a 30/34 on the reading portion of the ACT and a 34/34 on the English portion. I was also able to o
