As an experienced teacher of 35 years, student success is the most important to me. I have had the pleasure of working with students in grades first through eighth. With an undergraduate degree in special education and a master's degree in education with a specialization in reading, I have varied techniques and strategies to help students in reaching their full potential. In my years of teaching in the classroom, I have had the honor to represent my school as Teacher of the Year. I received this honor as an elementary teacher and again as a middle school teacher.

I specialize in tutoring students in reading and writing. With a varied approach that focuses on each child's learning style and unique educational needs, I have been very successful in my teaching experience and tutoring. I hold myself to high standards and will communicate student's progress to parents in a timely fashion. With busy schedules, I understand that sometimes rescheduling is necessary. I have a 24 hours cancellation policy, but will offer make-up sessions for any student.

To ensure that students have a quiet and comfortable study space in which to work, I have a study in my home that I use for private lessons. However, I am willing to travel to another location if it is more convenient for parents and students.

I look forward to working with you and your child and helping them achieve their goals.

Sincerely,
Sheri H.
