I have enjoyed teaching high school math for more than a decade. The opportunity to provide students with confidence and skills in a subject that is nationally accepted as hard, is rewarding to see the student's growth throughout the process. I have been fortunate to teach at every grade level in a high school setting and see the vast maturity difference between each level. This movement has allowed me to provide students with a road map of where they have seen a concept before and when they might view it again.
Tutoring allows me to teach the student the value in self analysis. The student will learn how their strengths and weaknesses of each concept contributes to other concepts. This process provides students the ability to access themselves and know why they are struggling, instead of saying comments along the lines of: I've never been good in math. Tutoring also provides an opportunity for the student to get individualized practice on concepts that may not have ever been available.
I care about the reason why a student is struggling with a concept and focus on creating a well-rounded math student.
If you are tired of struggling and not understanding the math processes, then now is the time to contact the last math tutor you will need to be successful. However, you must provide the positive and willing attitude to try. It takes us forming a partnership of each side giving towards your success.
