Hello. I'm Kitt, a recently retired teacher who has a passion for working with people, especially young people. There is no greater thrill than seeing a student's face light up with understanding and watching him/her run with the new concept. My ability to connect with students and their families has given me, as a certified teacher, decades of joy.
However, I desire to continue helping students discover the joy of learning. This is done by helping each student discover his/her unique way of learning. As a student masters their learning style their confidence increases. I’ve been privileged to hone my skills while working with TAG classes, Special Education inclusion classes, and multiple grade levels simultaneously.
My certification is 4-8th grade self-contained. I have tutored students from first grade to AP biology and introductory Chemistry. I would love to help you and your student. Most of my career has been teaching middle science. I would love to help you.
Science created math. So I have been teaching math right along with science. That is the fun way to use and learn your math.
I'm known for closing the gaps for all of my students. Many students have told me that I teach life skills that have helped them excel long after they have left my class.
I care about each student as a person. I listen to each student and adapt my teaching to fit them. In other words, my students tell me how to help them as we work together.
Each person has much to offer our world. You would give me great joy to help you discover and excel for that which you have a passion for. Academics are simply the tools that allow you to achieve your dreams. That is why I would like to help you achieve your dreams. Hello. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been actively teaching middle school science for more than a decade, which involves all the Common Core subjects. As an advisory teacher, I would help my students with all of their Core subjects.
