In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have completed 32 hours of undergraduate accounting. I have also completed 12 hours graduate accounting. I have more than 20 years experience in public accounting, general ledger, manufacturing, and teaching.
After tutoring, I pulled my grade from an F to a B+.
I have also tutored several students from my church successfully as well as my own 2 children, now ages 25 and 21.
With my knowledge of Algebra, I am now able to construct Excel spreadsheets with complex formulas.
I have more than 15 years of experience with Excel. I have developed charts and pivot tables for many uses. I have created and used spreadsheets to figure depreciation, job and product costs, and numerous other things. When tested, I have been rated from advanced to expert level.
I am also approved to tutor Algebra 1 and 2. I also had a 100 average in college algebra.
I also have a special empathy for students struggling with algebra because I was prior to receiving tutoring. Since then, I have successfully tutored several students, mostly from my church.
