Hello student/parents,

I am a software engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. I have several years of experience tutoring - began 10 years ago when I was still a student, and have continued ever since. I teach math, computer science, and Spanish.
I especially love teaching programming to beginners - be it children or adults- to get them introduced to the software world and all it has got to offer.

I'm comfortable with all middle, high school and college level math, AP computer science, python, c#, Java, and most programming courses taught in school. Also comfortable and have experience working with students of all ages, from elementary students wanting to learn a new language to adult learners returning to school needing a refresher course.

About Spanish: I'm a native Spanish speaker with experience teaching the language to both kids and adults. Whether you're new to the language and want to gain quick conversational and grammar skills, or an advanced student looking to improve pronunciation, I can assist you with it. Fluent in all aspects (reading/writing/speaking).

Flexible and patient tutor!

My daughter has been working with Mariana for more than eight months. She is 10 years old, and we just wanted her to know coding as literacy. Mariana always makes lessons enjoyable and understandable to our daughter, and our daughter is looking forward to every lesson with her. She is a very kind and lovely person! We really appreciate all the help!

Great tutor, very dependable and available.

Mariana is fantastic, I have met with many tutors so I have good judgement when it comes to tutors. Mariana makes herself available to her students. She is also reliable and dependable. She is well educated in mathematics, and was even able to get through my tough calculus homework without reviewing.

Very Patient

Mariana is a very patient tutor, she takes time to explain every step of the problem to me. She just doesn't give me the answers, she helps me through the step and actually makes me think so when it comes to the tests and quizzes I have at school come around, I'll be able to figure out the steps with no problem.
