I have a Bachelor's in Mathematics, with minors in Accounting and Finance, and a Master's in Secondary Education. I worked in the accounting field for 7 years and am currently an 8th grade algebra and geometry teacher. I am certified in Mathematics 4-8 and Mathematics 8-12.
I love being a teacher and really enjoy tutoring my own students during my conference period and after school because many students just need a little one-on-one time to fully grasp concepts. Brandi is fantastic! My daughter needed help in Algebra II. I was hesitant at first to pay a little extra, but it was worth every penny. My daughter went from a 66 in the first 6 weeks and to a 86 on her Final Exam after getting a Tutor -Brandi!!! She is very knowledgeable and Great at what she does. I will be sure to call her back for tutoring in her Senior Year. It was one on one. She was able and flexible to meet us to our schedule. And my daughter understood everything she was telling her. I told my daughter's teacher that I was getting a tutor and she saw a tremendous difference in her work and understanding. Thank you Brandi!!! You are truly the BEST!!!
Brandi is absolutely fabulous. She is receptive, attentive, and responsible. She is highly intelligent and can assess my learning needs effectively and adapt the lesson plan appropriately.
I couldn't be happier with her services.
Brandi is a fantastic tutor with patience, skill and excitement to teach math. She is well-worth it and more.
Claire has been struggling as a home schooled student to stay self-directed in math since her previous tutor left for graduate school. You helped break through several conceptual understandings and get her back on track.
My daughter is taking 9th grade Geometry. In her first six week period, she struggled. It was very stressful for her and she absolutely hated geometry. We contacted Brandi after that first six week period. In the last six weeks, my daughter ended up with a 98.44% for the period, and an "A" for the semester. Geometry is now one of her favorite subjects, she no longer stresses about the class, and looks forward to her nights with Brandi!
To see my daughter smile for the first time all semester about her Geometry class, and hear her say she understands it (finally) and to know that she was actually a week ahead on learning made me nearly cry. She is great and will definitely help my daughter pass this class with the grade she wants for the semester! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
Brandi is very patient with my daughter and does a great job checking to be sure she is understanding the material. We are very happy with Brandi and highly recommend her!
Brandi worked with my high school age son on a regular basis. He loved her as a tutor. She had excellent knowledge of the subject matter and not only instructed him but made it fun in the process. She would always take as much time as he needed to master the subject matter. Thank you Brandi!! I would definitely recommend her!
My son has gone from failing grade to a passing grade. Brandi is very patient and understanding to my son's needs. He is developing such a relationship with his tutor that he called her when he made his first passing grade on a test. He has been so excited that things are finally making some sense to him. Thank you so much Brandi, you've been such a great help. We plan to keep going through the summer months to get a head start on next years math!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
