I have taught in public and private schools specialized and general music. I’ve led small chamber groups and have been a part of community orchestras. Throughout college and today I have taught students the love of music through their experience of violin, viola and other musical facets.

Watching a student learn to play an instrument from the beginning and seeing them discover new techniques and fun things about themselves and their instruments has always been the best part of teaching for me. Seeing those ah ha moments when they are finally able to read the music or make the right sound are so rewarding. I enjoy tutoring because I get to teach specifically to the needs of one student and help them learn the best way they learn.

I have been playing violin since beginning band in elementary school. My degree is in Music Education with the emphasis on strings. I play on my worship team and, occasionally, at other venues such as weddings.

I learned at a young age that my gift was art, whether it be music, needle arts, paintings, crafting—I’ve always been drawn to anything within the Arts. My mother is my inspiration and has taught me much from a child’s age. We make many gifts for people using the skills we have.

I am a very friendly, fun and patient teacher. I move at a pace that works best for you. Please consider allowing me to help you grow in your knowledge and skills.
