The Ohio State University (Political Science)
To date, I have completed my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (American Politics) from Ohio State University. While earning my degree I had the opportunity to study a wide range of topics, concepts and events that require deep understanding of world history in order to analyze the political context of various governments and civilizations throughout time. Having studied and mastered concepts in political science, I believe, gives me a unique ability to connect historical events to political outcomes, development of economies, foreign affairs/relations, globalization, & cause and effect of wars to name a few. Further, having earned my Associate of Arts in Sociology, I am able to convey ideas and impacts of human interaction and cultural identities on historical and political history.
During my undergraduate studies, I had the privilege of an internship with the Ohio Republican Party. Fortunately, the ORP is seated in downtown Columbus, OH where swing state politics is year round. Working with staff and officials gave me a special chance to view the workings and operations of a real governmental body in action. Further, I was afforded the opportunity to take the Chairman to a fundraising event and interact with his constituents and see how campaigning for the local party is conducted as well as, how an official interacts with a voting body.
I had the opportunity to study a wide breath of topics and subjects in the field of history, government, politics, sociology & economics. My course work includes, political theory, political statistics, american domestic policy, international relations, international political economy, state government, city politics, business government relations, sociological theory and sociology of health and illness.
I hope to create an environment that is free and comfortable for the students. To encourage them to think deeper about the material to truly understand the topic, rather than just memorize the information. I hope to have a fun, positive and meaningful impact on your learning. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
