Greetings! I do not believe in the "impossible" and am a gifted encourager and full of hope for you and the entire universe. Ask for my personal testimony (too long to post here) and you may believe in miracles too! God uses the weak things to shame the strong.

I have a broad range of experience, being a physician, researcher, scientist, minister, artist, musician, and teacher. Focusing on education, over the years and recently, I have tutored mostly children and adolescents with the goal of teaching them to be independent thinkers/learners, with life skills beyond the classroom and final grade. I have also worked with adults as well - those with foreign high education and some inner city people with limited education (did not learn to read/write yet). Success stories include one girl (Chinese background) from elementary school all the way to her senior year in high school. She came to me borderline failing because of poor English with very low self-esteem, little motivation, minimal confidence, and cultural confusion. With positive reinforcement and thinking, she began to believe in her own ability, take initiative, study/analyze, scored 4.0 GPAs in High School followed by full scholarship to College where she is now. There is no case too difficult. One of my last students had lived with Autism all of his life and based on his preliminary PSAT scores, was given almost no hope for College. We worked to score above the minimal requirements for both the SAT and ACT exam and he is in College currently. If any of these cases speak to you about yourself or your child(ren), I would be honored to discuss with you (and family) about ways I can help (consultation, short- and long-). Thank you for your time reading this.

My family is Taiwanese Chinese and I attended weekend Chinese School (Sat) in Michigan and in Rockville, MD until High School. I took one Chinese class at UMCP. I worked in Taiwan for one year after graduating from UMCP and enrolled in intermediate Chinese at Mandarin News Training Center and became fluent in speaking, reading, and writing through "immersion" in the Taiwan culture. I have also worked in Mainland China on Health studies with China CDC. I feel qualified to teach lower level Chinese students, especially with pronunciation and stroke sequence in writing.
