I have extensive experience working at college, graduate school and high-school levels, as well as in activities outside of the traditional classroom, I have a diverse background with much to offer. Until recently, I served as a Research Associate and Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Office of International Affairs, University of Connecticut. In that role, I built cultural and sociological bridges and provided fundamental academic advising to undergraduate and graduate students from diverse communities all around the globe, including Senegal, Kenya, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
